A young boy sits behind a mass of fish parts or maybe carnage is a better description of what's stacked on the beach in front of him
From early morning until mid - afternoon a good portion of the town beach in Porta Lopez, Ecuador, is teeming with buyers, sellers and butchers of fish brought in by fishermen that morning. It's a veritable carnival, a family affair. From Marlin and shark to moonfish and shrimp, they're hauled from boat to beach. Family members and friends admire the catches while buyers bid ,sellers haggle and butchers slice and dice there in the sand. It's gory, bloody and humming with commerce.
