A celebration of the Garinagu settling in Seine Bight takes place, belatedly, over a Saturday afternoon on Jan 8. 2011.The Garinagu arrived in Belize by way of Honduras as early as 1802. However, in Belize November 19, 1832 is the date officially recognized as "Garifuna Settlement Day" in Dangriga.
